Rehabilitation of an abandoned building in Brazil (in the Fortaleza region) into a coworking café.
Structural works: Demolition of part of the existing building, change of roof, creation of openings, creation of terraces and interior modifications.
The front terrace overlooks the town square. In order to demarcate the public space from the private space and to partially obscure the view, large cactus planters were placed. The planted pergola provides shade and freshness; with its lanterns, it provides a warm atmosphere upon entry. On each wall, a fresco by a local artist will be drawn.
Inside, different spaces have been created: bar / booth / lounge / café / meeting room. All the furniture has been designed and made to measure.
For the materials: wood and concrete mainly and for the colors: turquoise, mustard, ocher, green and slate. A mix of colors which gives a strong identity to the café. We also bring plants inside to tropicalize the place.
At the rear of the building, a small garden serves as a smoking room. Here vegetation reigns and a central fountain brings a bit of zenitude.
