Renovation of a kitchen and bathroom & creation of a custom sliding bookcase

This project required the renovation of certain spaces in the apartment in order to make them more functional but also to create an identity for the apartment.

Three spaces were targeted: the kitchen, the bathroom, and the office.

The existing kitchen was poorly arranged with little worktop and not very functional.

The bathroom was oversized with wasted space. A neglected piece, which had remained in its own juice.

Finally the office, which is of little use to the owner, served as a library room. Once again, wasted space for the stay.

The idea was therefore to reorganize the kitchen in order to offer more work space, to make it better equipped and more functional. For this, it was enlarged by encroaching on the bathroom.

For the bathroom, it was necessary to completely rethink the space by giving a place to each need (sink, shower, storage).

Finally, on the office side, a sliding bookcase on a rail was designed. It allows you to store the owner's book collection on either side of the unit, but also to partition the space if necessary.
